Pillar Stand

Pillar Stand

The Precision Stand PHS has a fine linear movement in the horizontal plane for the purpose of aligning the Alignment Telescope axis/LOS. The Precision Horizontal Stand could be placed on a honeycomb table and clamped, or could be placed on a flat platform. A flange (connecting parts 5 & 6) is provided at the base of the Precision Stand so that the PHS could be placed on a Vertical Pillar Stand. Along the axis of the flange, the telescope could be rotated (vertical axis rotation). The Pillar Stand has a provision to lift or lower the PHS using two lock nuts to the desired height for the Alignment Telescope axis / line of sight. If you require the PHS axis to be lowered further, you may remove the cross connector (part 5), reverse it, and mount it again. If you need to raise the height of the axis of the Alignment Telescope beyond the existing limit, you may add a shaft to the flange to suit the diameter of the cross connector.
